Olga Zhelenkova was born in 1955, in Grozny. She graduated from the Mathematical and Mechanical Department of the Leningrad State University in 1978, as astronomer. She then carried out scientific investigations for the Special Astrophysical Observatory of Russian Academy of Sciences, where she continues to work now as a researcher of Informatics Department. Olga is a member of the European FITS Committee. Her work experience includes: investigation of radio sources (http://sed.sao.ru/rc_archive.html); data processing with astronomical data processing systems and VO-tools - MIDAS, Starlink, AIPS, Aladin, TopCat, AstroGrid Workbench; programming with Fortran, C, Perl, bash, SQL, JavaScript, HTML; FITS format implementation for the SAO RAS observation data; development of information systems for the SAO RAS observation archive; participation in the project "Russian Virtual Observatory" as a member of the RVO Board; a member of the IAU FITS Working Group.
